Dory

So we decided that we didn't have enough chaos and commotion around here so we decided to add a dog to the mix!
Actually, we have a friend, he had Dory, he just got a new job and is transferring to Washington, taking Dory up there was not an option, he didn't have a lot of time so he thought that he would just take her up to the mountains and shoot her...well that just made me so sad! We had to save her! So now we have a dog!

She is so sweet, we have only had her a day and we are in so much love with her! She is so good with the kids and is so mild in nature, we just got lucky with her! Her and Owen bonded immediatly, I think that they are going to be best friends!
This morning he was walking around the house and she was following him, he walked into our bedroom and Bruce overheard Owen saying, "Dory you are so good, your not even afraid of the dark anymore!"

Bailey was the most nervous. She was so scared that Dory and the cats would get in a fight that she followed Dory around like a little lost pup! The cats don't love her yet. They have been hissing a little, arching their backs and poofing their tails. But I think that they are making progress, tonight Simon and Dory were both sitting on the same carpet about a foot away from each other, soon the cats will love her just as much as we do!

  3. Aw cute! That's the same kind of dog Denise has! How old is she?

    p.s.
couldn't he have taken her to a shelter as opposed to shooting her? Just a thought ;) Still awesome you got to keep her though! :)

  4. OMG, we'll just send Sydni and Ty Ty over to play with your dog. Then we don't have to get one. Ha Ha It was nice of you to take her in. She'll be good for Owen to play with. A dog is a man's pet right. Perfect for your little man.
