The backpack club

Look what I got! I am sooo excited! I have been looking around for a new camera for quite sometime...I knew that I wanted a good camera and I was debating between a point-and-shoot and an SLR...well after talking with a lot of people I decided upon an SLR. It really is a camera that can grow with me and it will be fun to see where it takes me!
Its a Nikon D60. I got the 18-200mm lens too. I really didn't want to be messing with changing the lenses back and forth so I really liked the idea of this 'all-in-one' lens.
I also got this handy-dandy backpack to hold all my stuff too! Bruce insisted on me getting this one because it holds all the camera stuff in the bottom and then you can put stuff like diapers, sandwiches, whatever in the top of it. It also has enough room for my video camera too. I told him that he had to apologize to Kim for giving her a hard time about her backpack! To Kim make sure to remind him of that next time you see him!

LEGOS!!!

The other day Bruce thought that it would be fun for the kids for him to dig out all of his old legos...well he was right, they are a huge hit! He had two huge containers full of legos and the kids have taken full advantage of them all!
I love seeing my kids make the same things that I loved to make with legos. It is so great for them to use their imagination instead of watching mindless television! I wish that Bruce would have thought of bringing them out in the beginning of winter!

Speak no evil, see no evil

Bruce is getting his concealed weapons permit. Part of getting that is you need to get your fingerprints done at the police station. Well Bruce took Owen down with him the other day and the police officer was really nice, he gave them a tour and a huge stack of D.A.R.E. and cop badge stickers. I put them on the counter and started fixing lunch. I hear mumbling behind me and there is Owen and McKenzie standing behind me with the stickers over their mouths!!!!! Some how I don't think this is what the police officer had in mind when he gave Owen the stickers!Pretty soon Reagan comes around the corner bumping in to everything! She had put the stickers over her eyes! I am telling you these kids keep me entertained!

Happy Valentines Day

Bruce left early this morning to get milk because we were out. He let me sleep in, which is rare but I took it with out any questioning. I lazily got out of bed thinking, "Bruce and Owen are sure taking a long time to get that milk." I mosied to the living room to cuddle with the girls on the couch. I got all comfy when the doorbell rang, I was wondering who in the world was ringing my doorbell, so I got up and it was Bruce and Owen at the door holding two dozen roses!
The red ones were from Bruce to me.
And Bruce gave each girl two yellow roses, Owen gave each girl one yellow rose and then Owen gave me three yellow roses! They were so sweet! I am so glad that Bruce is showing Owen at an early age not to forget the women in his life!!

Happy Valentines Everyone, I hope you all had a great day!

Time-out

So, I don't think there is any kid in time-out more than Owen! He is so sweet, funny, cuddly and loving when I have one on one time with him. But the second my attention is else where he is wreaking havoc! Is it just becuase he is a boy???

Well lately when I send Owen to time-out Reagan says, "Me too!" and runs to the other corner. She is starting to even send herself to time-out, she will catch herself taking away a toy or book from someone and she will say, "Ooops, Reagan time-out" and run over to the corner! Then she will yell, "Mom, can I get out?"

Dory

So we decided that we didn't have enough chaos and commotion around here so we decided to add a dog to the mix!
Actually, we have a friend, he had Dory, he just got a new job and is transferring to Washington, taking Dory up there was not an option, he didn't have a lot of time so he thought that he would just take her up to the mountains and shoot her...well that just made me so sad! We had to save her! So now we have a dog!

She is so sweet, we have only had her a day and we are in so much love with her! She is so good with the kids and is so mild in nature, we just got lucky with her! Her and Owen bonded immediatly, I think that they are going to be best friends!
This morning he was walking around the house and she was following him, he walked into our bedroom and Bruce overheard Owen saying, "Dory you are so good, your not even afraid of the dark anymore!"

Bailey was the most nervous. She was so scared that Dory and the cats would get in a fight that she followed Dory around like a little lost pup! The cats don't love her yet. They have been hissing a little, arching their backs and poofing their tails. But I think that they are making progress, tonight Simon and Dory were both sitting on the same carpet about a foot away from each other, soon the cats will love her just as much as we do!

Abi and Reagan

Reagan loves her cousin Abi. They get to see eachother a lot! They play so well with eachother...it's usually parellel play but they are starting to play interactivly more and more! It is fun to see the great relationship they are going to have!

Abi also LOVES Morgan. She knows Morgan will help her do anything!

Bundled like a baby

The other day, Owen and Reagan thought that it would be fun to get bundled up like they were babies. Reagan wouldn't let me bundle her arms, she freaked out when I tried, but Owen was all bundled up, it kind of looks like he has stubby legs!

The things we do to entertain ourselves!

Happy New Years!

Happy New Years everyone! I know that it is February but my computer has been having issues with my camera and it wouldn't recognize it. We got it formatted and all is well now! We had a fun New Years. We played the Wii all night, then we watched the ball drop as we ran out side to bang pots and pans to ring in the New Year! Reagan went to bed at her normal time but the other three stayed awake. It was a little hard for Morgan to stay up but Bailey and Owen are night owls and had no problem staying up and they could have stayed up longer if I let them!
