Christmas Eve

Every year the kids draw names to give a present to each other.  I love how excited they all get when they are deciding what to give each other.  This year Bailey had Reagan, Morgan had Bailey, Owen had Oakley, Reagan had Morgan and Oakley had Owen.

Owen gave Oakley some Nerf guns.

Oakley gave Owen Halo guys

Morgan got a One Direction game from Reagan.

Bailey got a straightener from Morgan.

Reagan got a rainbow unicorn pillow pet from Bailey.

They all then opened jammies from mom and dad.  After that they had to go and put the food out for the reindeer.

Then a quick picture together and off to bed.  They can't wait to see what Santa brings them!!!!!!

Bailey's Orchestra concert

On December 20, 2012 Bailey had her orchestra concert.  She did a really good job.  I'm glad that she enjoys orchestra and does well in it.  At the concert we had the pleasure of listening to all of the different classes.  And we also found out that Bailey's orchestra teacher was dad's Webelos partner about 10 years ago!  Small world!

I really liked that they did their last song two times so that parents could go up and take pictures of their child especially since Bailey was behind some people.

Morgan and Reagan's dance recital

In December Morgan and Reagan had an opportunity to show us the dances that they had been working on.  They were very excited.  Reagan had two dances.  One was "Jingle bell Rock" and the other was "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" sung by Alvin and the Chipmunks.  Both dances were super cute but the two front teeth one was adorable!

Morgan just had one dance "Run, run Rodolf" It was much more complicated and very awesome to watch.  I cannot believe how well my girls can dance!  I now wish I would have put them in dance a long time ago!

Handyman Oakley

I try to rotate toys around so that there are always new toys for the kids to pick out of.  Well the tools made it out of rotation and Oakley is in love!  He has been trying to fix everything from toys to the couches.  He is such a boy!

Thanksgiving helpers

This year was an off year for Thanksgiving.  Grandma Holdaway did it last year and Grandma and Grandpa Peterson always have it on Sunday as part of Sunday dinner.  So this year we were on our own.  Luckily we have great kids who like to help out in the kitchen.  Owen and Reagan worked at scrubbing and peeling potatoes.  Bailey helped saute up the onions and celery for the stuffing.  Morgan was a great helper in entertaining Oakley so Dad and I could get everything done!  It was a busy day and Dad suggested that we call up Grandma and Grandpa to come and join us.  They came over and we had a great time eating and playing games.  We are truly blessed with a great family!

Reagan's thought of the day

We have gotten out of the habit of taking turns writing a daily thought.  Reagan decided it was about time to get the ball rollling again.  She is so smart and figured out how to spell everything herself!

The first snow of the season

It's a good thing we got our lights up when we did because about a week later, snow came.  It was a pretty good storm too, about six or so inches of pretty wet snow.  Dad isn't supposed to shovel much since his back surgeries so I'm thankful that you kids helped out so much. Everyone worked really hard, even Bailey, she was inside doing chores while everyone else was shoveling.  She would rather be inside any day rain, snow or shine.

After all the shoveling was done the kids wanted to play a little.  They threw snowballs...

Then made snow angels...

Then after all that, they worked up a thirst and ate snow.  Not my favorite activity but an activity that every child must participate in.

Reagan wasn't so sure at first...

Everyone had a fun time, even Chloe.  I think she may have a little husky in her...
