Las Vegas Trip Day 3

We knew when we started planning our trip, that we wanted to go to the pawn shop that is featured in one of our favorite shows Pawn Stars.  So our third day started out with us visiting The Gold and Silver Pawn Shop.  We were excited at the prospects of meeting someone famous but unfortunately Hoss and Chumlee were in Florida on vacation.  Rick was out preparing for a taping later on that afternoon.  The Old Man was there but he was in his office and everyone said that he comes out when he wants to, nobody bugs him :( It was still a fun place to visit.  Owen loved seeing all the old money.  The older girls had fun pointing out all the things that we have seen on shows.  It would have been fun if we would have had something cool to pawn and they would have wanted us to be on the show, but we didn't.

After the pawn shop we headed to the Lied Discovery Children's museum. The kids loved it there.  So many different things to do.  The could go grocery shopping...

 Be a car mechanic...

 Climb around in tubes...
Learn how dams work and build them on a water table...
 Play with bubbles...

 Learn how a centrifuge works...
How spinning works and how to make yourself spin faster or slower...

 Race different objects...
There was even a baby oasis for little ones that don't walk yet, there were so many things for him to explore there.

Reagan got to do a little art project...
The kids got to try to lift up their own weight...

We all (except Oakley) felt hurricane force winds...
Owen LOVED it!  Reagan HATED it, but once the winds start you can't open up the door, luckily she went in with Bailey who was able to hold her and try to calm her down.

There was so much more that I didn't even take pictures of.  The kids had so much fun!  When we were done we headed over to visit the Temple.  It was amazing the different feeling we all were getting as we got closer and closer to the Temple.  There was such a special, calm spirit.

After the Temple we decided to go to Caesars Palace to see the moving statues.  Unfortunately they were under repair.  So since we were so close to the Bellagio to see the fountains, the Fiori di Como and botanical gardens.
On our way over there was a guy that was all in silver.  Bruce thought that he was a statue but it was really a guy!  He gave all the kids suckers and we got a picture with him.
We finally made it to the Bellagio Fountains

They were amazing!  It was all coordinated to the song "Singing in the rain"

Oakley was getting done and just wanted to be fed but there was so place to sit down.  We headed in to the Botanical Gardens and I found a place in there.  I forgot to pull out my camera while were were in the Bellagio but just know that the gardens and the Fiori di Como were spectacular!

Las Vegas Trip Day 2

Well we are early risers compared to the rest of Las Vegas.  We were usually up and ready to go by 8 but nothing opens up until 10!  The second day we wanted to go to the Adventuredome but it wasn't open yet so we decided to walk down to the 7 eleven so Bruce could get his daily dose of caffeine.  We took a couple pictures as we walked over.

Finally it was time to go to the Adventure dome.  We were the first ones in line buying tickets and the only ones in line for quite a few of the first rides!  One of the first rides you see as you walk in is the carousel.  Reagan squealed with delight and asked if it could be the first ride.  So the kids hopped on and went around and around and around...

The kids had fun riding in the hot air balloon Ferris wheel
We found this cute little merry-go-round that was just Oakley's size.  We had to pay $0.50 for it but it was the only ride he was allowed on so we splurged.  He had so much fun on it!

Bailey and I rode a few roller coasters together.  It was so much fun.  I even made her do a few that she was scared to at first but then after she thanked me for making her go on it because it was so much fun!
The middle ones loved the airplane ride

Bailey rode on a few rides with Reagan.
*By this time of the day the sun was up higher shining on the dome making a pink tint over everything so all of the pictures started turning out pinkish :(

The choo-choo train was lots of fun
But I think the overall favorite was the frog hopper.  I think the middle kids went on that about 20 times!  Reagan held on for dear life every time but as soon as it stopped she ran around to get back in line again.

As we were leaving they started a little clown show so we decided to stick around and watch it.  They needed kids from the audience and they picked all of my kids except Oakley.  Reagan was being silly and didn't want to go up but the other three did.  It was a cute little show and the clown taught the kids how to play "Twinkle, twinkle little star" with hand bells
Apparently Owens arm was getting tired

After the show everyone was ready to go.  We were all tired and hungry.  We decided to eat at the Circus Circus buffet that night then went strait to our hotel room.  I think we were all crashed by 8:30!
