Pumpkin Patch 2011

We made sure that we got to the Big Red Barn early this year.  The weather was unseasonably warm, so it was just perfect.  When we pulled up there were tons of cars all around and we thought that we would have to wait forever to get on the wagon for the tractor ride but we only ended up having to wait for one tractor and then we were on!  While we waited I quickly took some pictures of the kids, Oakley was not in the picture taking mood, he wanted to wander around and look at everything!

The 'middle' kids had fun on the hay/straw stacks as we waited.

We finally got on and Oakley was very impressed with everything.  The mountains were beautiful!  It was a wonderful ride!

When we got to the pumpkin patch the younger ones stayed behind, for a second, to take pictures in the pumpkin cut outs but soon Owen and Reagan were off finding their perfect pumpkin.  So I just took a few pictures of Oakley before I went to find everyone else.

We found everyone else at the very bottom of the pumpkin patch.  We had the same rules we always do, they could pick any pumpkin, as long as they could carry it.

Reagan fell in love with this pumpkin and it weighed as much, if not more than she did!  Dad gave in and let her have the giant pumpkin saying that she was his baby girl :)

While we were waiting for the wagon to come back I snapped a few pictures of the kids by a cool old truck they had.  Oakley still didn't want to cooperate...

After we got back we all got ice cream, doughnuts and a bag of apples.  We paid for everything and we were on our way out to the car when Morgan noticed that there was a praying mantis on Dad's back!  Now praying Mantis' have a vendetta on Dad.  Once he peed on one and ever since they constantly attack him!  The kids brushed it off of Dad and it flew right back on him!  It was pretty crazy!
We just love the Big Red Barn!  We are so glad that we were able to make it there this year.  We are also happy that Cami and Clint got to go with us!
