Sleepy boy

I thought that once school started and we got into more of a routine that Oakley would start taking naps better.  Nope.  In fact I think that he may be rebelling a little more.  Then he always ends up falling asleep around 5:00.  Luckily he is still going to bed decently.

He also likes to cuddle up to Owen while he plays XBOX and fall asleep

First day of school

School started on August 21.  The kids were super excited and nervous to start another year.

I tried to trick Bay and told her that I was going to school with her and that I was going to take pictures with all of her teachers.  She was too smart to fall for it...
Morgan got Mrs. Buys, she was excited to get the same teacher that Bailey had in 5th grade

Owen got Mrs. Johnson, she has been teaching 1st grade but got moved to 2nd grade.  He was a little nervous but also excited.

Reagan got Mrs. Draper.  She was a little nervous but over all excited to start school finally!

My three "middles" going off to school.  Man they've grown up fast...

Utah County Fair

On August 17, the dance company that Morgan and Reagan had been dancing with was invited to the Utah County Fair to perform.  The girls were very excited and nervous.  They both did amazing.  All of the girls in Morgan's group were watching her to see what they were supposed to be doing!  In fact Morgan did so well that the teacher asked her to try out for the competition team!  The girls have really enjoyed dance and I'm so happy that we got them in!

While we were waiting for the girls to perform a lady walked over to the pavilion we were under and asked if any kids wanted to be in a root beer drinking contest.  After a little prodding from Dad, Owen decided to try it out and of course Oakley followed him.  Owen didn't win, the kid in the blue shirt won, but only because more than half of his drink was on his shirt.  Dad told him next time just to dump it in his mouth and let it get all over.

Well there was still time before the girls were ready to perform so they asked if there were any dad's that wanted to give it a shot.  Of course Owen made Dad go up.  Dad almost won but he said it was hard to chug the warm root beer.  Owen told him that he should have just dumped it in his mouth and down his shirt.

Soon it was time for the performance.  I decided to video tape it so there aren't any pictures.

Oakley and "Dude"

Owen and Oakley have really started to develop a relationship.  Oakley follows Owen around like a little puppy and Owen is more than happy to let him.  Oakley can't say Owen yet but instead calls him "dude".  It makes me happy that they love each other so much!

Bailey, my helper

Bailey has been such an awesome helper this summer.  In the middle of July I started watching Rowan.  She was only four weeks old and was pretty fussy.  She wanted to be held and Bailey was more than willing to help out.  She made bottles, changed diapers, dressed her and held her almost all day.  I'm not looking forward to school starting and loosing my helper!

Oakley and Pepsi

Oakley is pretty much addicted to Pepsi.  He sneaks as many sips as he can out of Dad's drink as often as he can.  I'm afraid that next time we go to the dentist he is going to have cavities on all of his teeth!  His most recent thing that he is doing is getting a mouth full of Pepsi and swishing it around his mouth...oh this boy, what will I do with him!?!?!

Tricks at night

Morgan and Reagan have been in dance and tumbling over the summer and have learned some fun tricks.  They are always doing cartwheels, headstands, or toe touches in the house!  I'm glad that sometimes they do happen to go outside and do their tricks!

Bailey was in the shower most of the time they were doing their tricks

Reagan and her "paint nolish"

Reagan loves me painting her nails and asks me about every day to paint them.  One of my favorite things about her asking me is that instead of staying nail polish she says "paint nolish"!

  I just love this girl!
