Emmy blankets

My wonderful big sister Emily made all the nieces and nephews blankets this year. She made them all the same colors but each one had a main color that was special to the person, then she hand stitched their name in the top corner of each quilt. They were very happy with such a special present!
Baileys main color was green :)
Morgans main color was pink :)
You can see her name stitched in it here.
Owen's was different because he was a boy, but he has spiderman colors, see the red, blue and black :)
Reagans main color was yellow :)
They were all so perfect. Thank you Emily for making such a special gift for my kids!

Christmas Morning

Here are a few pictures that I took Christmas morning...I didn't take a whole lot because I was trying to video record it too! Ooops!

Bailey got a lot of jewlery, some stamps, and Yatzee from Santa

Bailey got LOTS of clothes and (her favorite) a bathrobe and slippers from me and Bruce

Morgan had a touch of the stomache flu that morning and dry heaved a bit...she didn't have any interest in opening any presents that morning...

She got Bratz dolls, operation, perfection, and lots of Barbie clothes from Santa and TONS of clothes from me and Bruce!

Reagan didn't want her picture taken that morning either, this is the only one I have of her! Bad Mommy!

She got a sit and spin and a baby doll from Santa and some clothes from me and Bruce

Owen was very excited to get the biggest present from Santa. He was intent on getting off every last bit of wrapping paper!

He got this workbench that came with a ton of tools and lucky ducks game from Santa.

And you guessed it clothes from Me and Bruce!

Here are a few more pictures of Morgan just so you can see how horrible she felt that morning.

The picture below is how she opened her presents (I think this is the only one she opened up) she just swiped her arm across to rip it open...

Christmas Jammies

We always open jammies on Christmas Eve...that way they have something new and comfy to sleep in, and they get a taste for what is to become!

He definatly has the "opening presents" pose down!

Here they are in their new jammies! They still didn't go to bed at the usual 9:00 bedtime, Morgan and Reagan did, but Bailey and Owen stayed up until about 10:30 or so!
I told Owen that he needed to go to sleep so Santa could come, he said,"I don't want Santa to come, I want the Grinch to come" So silly! We have watched the Grinch about 6 times in the last week!

Christams Eve Presents

This year the kids wanted to draw names to give gifts to eachother.

Reagan with her baby from Owen

Owen with his blue Ninja Turtle from Morgan

Morgan with her Baby Bratz mermaid from Bailey

(Bailey first got her slippers but she worried for 2 days that Morgan would be sad that she didn't give her a toy!)

Bailey with her Necklace and earring set from Reagan

She was pretty excited to get them, she saw them and really wanted them but I told her that it was just too old for her, she was disappointed, but as we were leaving I grabbed them and hid them...hehe...sneaky mommy!

Visiting Santa

We went to R.C. Willey to visit Santa this year...the lines for sitting on Santas lap are outragous, and I'm not going to pay for it :) Plus not only did the kids get to sit on Santas lap, we got a free frame, free hot dogs and drinks! It doesn't get much better than that!

Bailey was so funny, she was so excited to see Santa, but once we got to the front of the line she decided that she was too old to sit on his lap! I finally convinced her to get her picture taken with Reagan. As you can see Reagan doesn't think much of Santa this year!

Owen and Morgan really were happy to see Santa, the camera was a little slow so by the time he took the picture they weren't smiling anymore! Oh well, at least it was free! Morgan was very talkative to Santa, she listed off about 15 things that she wants! Everytime the paper comes she runs and gets a pen to circle all the things that she wants...I tell her that Santa can't bring it all, she understands but keeps on circling!

Hoilday treat helper

Morgan loves to help me cook, which I am a little reluctant at times to let her do. It just goes so much faster and cleaner when I do it myself, but that isn't teaching her any skills...so I let her help when she asks...

She wanted to help me make the Christmas treats for our neighbors. She helped stir the batters and frosting.

I think one of the reasons that she likes to help me out is so she can lick the utinsels! As you can see she thoroughly enjoys it!

Chocolate goatee :)

The fruits of our labors...We made caramel brownies and peanut butter bars...yummy!

Sorry these arn't the best pictures...taking pictures of food is hard!

Monkey toes

Okay, usually the term "monkey toes" is reserved for those with really long toes. Reagan has quite the oppisite. :) But she has, from birth, used these short toes as if they were another hand.

I don't think that Reagan has ever put her legs down on her highchair, they are usually up "playing" with the part that hooks on the back of her highchair.

She just loves putting her feet on things. When I was nursing her she would have her legs up on my oppisite shoulder. When ever I lay her down in her crib she stick her legs straight up so I have to push them down to cover them, she laughs the entire time I am trying to do this. Before she was walking or crawling she would lay on her back and put her feet up to help play with the toy.

Ok this one is not a "monkey toes" picture but when you ask her where her "mean teeth" are, she pulls this cute face. She rarely will do her "mean teeth" in front of others so I threw it in.

Spider(potato)man

Owen got the most fantastic gift from "his" Cassi this year. A Mr. Potato head that is really spiderman!!! You would have thought that he was in heaven!

I think EVERYONE has done this once in their lives :)

Flinging his webs...hehe...he just cracks me up!

Spiderman needs to have ears! I just love how much he concentrates on this!

Getting the other ear in :) Notice that the first ear is backwards :)

He is so funny! I dont think that he will ever grow out of this stage. Its been over a year and the obsession is still growing strong, hey it makes it easy to buy for him!

P.S. in case you were wondering Cassi is Kims second daughter, everytime they come into town he gets the giddist look on his face and says,"Is my Cassi here too?" He just loves her so much and she sould care less about him...I guess thats where the love comes from, he has to work for it, he follows her around like a little lost puppy, its so cute!

Silly boy

Today Bailey was asking me about who was allergic to what in our family. We decided that Bruce and Owen are allergic to cats, Morgan is allergic to cigarette smoke (she has asthma), I am allergic to Walnuts and Pecans (I get cankers) but Bailey wasn't allergic to anything...She asked why she wasn't allergic to anything and I told her that she was just lucky!

Then all of the sudden Owen says,"Thats what the moose told me, (then in a deep voice he says) "Owen you a lucky boy." then he started spouting out about Cabelas, the fish and that we need catch them for dinner, the bears that won't chase us becuase they are fake, he went on for a good ten minutes...He is a silly one!
(Sorry that this is a bad picture but I just put all my pictures on CD's and erased them from the computer...)

Chocolate pudding

For an afterschool snack I gave the kiddies some chocolate pudding. I gave the babies cereal instead...Well Bailey felt bad for them and decided to give them each a scoop of hers on their tray.....

Well the loved it...not surprisingly...they kept crying for more so I decided just to give them thier own container since they already were a mess.....

Yummy!!!
Good stuff! As you can see Makayla is a bit cleaner than Reagan is but still she was a mess at the end!

Nearing the end!

As you can see she has about the same smile in all the pictures, she flinches when she sees my camera...I think I need a new camera, but this one will have to do for a little bit!

My Wonderful Husband

I have been tagged again, but its a little different. I get to tell you how wonderful my husband is! This is great, Bruce is always sad that I don't write anything about him, I love him but I usually write about what I have pictures of and he always hides when I bring out the camera! But this is fun!

1. What is his name? Bruce Clyde Holdaway Jr.

2. How long have you been married? 10 years in April, time sure flies when your having kids!

3. How long did you date? 2 1/2 years

4. Who eats more? He does, Sometimes I try to out eat him, and I always pay for it, either with a belly ache or 5 extra pounds!

5. Who said 'I love you' first? He did and I wasn't sure at first, we have known each other for ever and so it was just kinda weird, I think I told him a few weeks later!

6. Who sings better? I dont know, I really like his voice when he is trying, like at church, I dont know what my voice sounds like to other people, I need to sing alto but I have a hard time finding it, so I am usually all over the place, soprano, alto, and tenor!

7. Who is taller? definatly him, by 8 inches, I love it!

8. Whose temper is worse? Oh mine by far, but its funny, there is a reason there are two parents, when ever I am having a bad day and the kids are getting on my nerves, he always takes care of them, and vice versa, when the kids are on his last nerve I try to entertain them.

9. Who does the laundry? ME and only me! I am VERY pertictular about colors and such!

10. Who does the dishes? I usually do but he has on occasion done dishes but this to I have a little OCD and like them done and put out to dry in a certain way. But now we have a dishwasher, YEA, and everone puts thier own dishes in!

11. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Looking at it? I do, which it always puts me closest to the door except for this house!

12. Who does the cooking? Me, unless it is eggs, that is his specialty!

13. Who is more stubborn? We both kind of are in certain ways, but probably over all I am more stubborn!

14. Who proposed? He did!

15. Who is more likely to admit when they are wrong? Probably him, this goes along with the stubborn question, right?

16. Whose parents do you see the most? Probably both about the same, maybe his a little more just because we USED to live next door, but now that we are moved probably mine because of Sunday dinners, YUMMY!

17. Who pays the bills? ME! I dont even know what he would do if anything happened to me!

18. Who wears the pants in the family? Well he always says that he wears the pants, I just pull them up!

19. Why do you love your husband? He is a wonderful person. He always wants to help other people. He love his kids and treats me like a queen. He is always sad when he has to tell people no for something, thats why I dont let him take kids to the store with him, he buys them lots of stuff! He is a kind, gentle, thoughtful, sweet, wonderful man and I am thankful everyday that he chose me to be his eternal companion!

I tag Cami, Erin, Radel, and Sara. Have fun guys!

Grandma Beardall

The most wonderful woman in the world died this morning. She was 97 years old. She was the kind of person men and women looked up towards. She had been a widow for 40 years and lived alone up until just a few years ago when my sister Rachel and her new husband moved in with her so that she could stay the rest of her days in her home. Her little house stood on almost an acre of land which she gardened a large piece of it. She grew mostly tomatoes, which were the sweetest, and she gave them to family and friends freely. She was a strong woman in the Church and served working in the Temple until her body failed her and she was confined to a wheelchair. She always thought about serving others and always put herself last, if ever. I remember her always calling us up saying that she had made some soup for us, she loved feeding people and watching them enjoy it but rarely ate herself! I hope that my children will remember her and follow in her footsteps. I hope that I can be just a glimmer of the woman that she was. We love you Grandma Beardall.

Curly top

For some reason when Reagan gets right out of the tub her hair just wants to curl! I love it and I wished that it stayed but once it dries there is no getting it back until the next bath...:(

Sorry its fuzzy but she just didnt want to hold still but you see as soon as it dries it goes poker straight!

you wouldn't even think that it was the same baby!
