Fishing at Payson Lakes

In the end of July
and first part of August
my family had a reunion
I have three sisters who live out of state
and it is always fun to have everyone together
It has become one of our favorite traditions
to go to Payson Lakes for a day
to fish,
play in the water,
or just hang out.

Doesn't Bruce look so cute here?!?!
Bruce helps all the kids bait their hooks
he loves fishing with the whole family
even if most of his time is spent
helping out the kids with their poles!
Bailey loves to fish too
she loves to spend time with her daddy

Morgan loves the outdoors too
I LOVE the one of her with her fishing hat
Kim found this at a yardsale on the way to the lake

Owen was having a bit of a rough start
he tripped on the way over to the fishing spot
but as soon as the poles came out he was excited!
Reagan thought that she was such a big girl with her pole
she had been practicing reeling in
on our front lawn for a few weeks now
so she was a pro with reeling!

We love going to Payson Lakes
we really should go more often
since we live only 10 minutes away!

At our fishing hole there was this cute group of ducks
I loved how they were all crowded up on the rock in the middle of the water

Bailey's swimming lessons

Bailey of course did excellent in swimming
she does so well
her strokes and technique are excellent
she did really well
her teacher would always call on her as the example
she worked really hard
and she passed with flying colors
she only needs to practice on her diving

Morgan's swimming lessons

Morgan loved swimming lessons
she was a little worried about having to be in the deep
but her teacher was very good
about making her comfortable when she couldn't touch
she finally realized that if she could swim
it didn't matter if the water was 3 feet
or 30 feet
it was the same when you swim
she even started diving off the diving board
and she passed her class with flying colors!

She always hopped out of the pool with her big smile
I just love that smile!

Owen's swimming lessons

Owen had swimming lessons first
so I didn't get any of him hanging out before
He loved swimming lessons!
He loved diving for the rings the best
he is a little fish
Owen never went through a 'scared of water' phase
like the other kids did
if he could live in water he would
he learned a lot during lessons
he started floating on his back really good
he started getting down the strokes really good
and he started diving really good
I am so proud of him
and I know that he will get better every year!

Swimming lessons for Reagan

Man!
I am so behind on my blog!
I keep thinking that it will just magically get caught up
but somehow it just doesn't!
The kids took swimming lessons last month
and since there are a ton of pictures
I am going to do a post for each kid
there will still be tons of pictures!

Anyways....
Here are Reagans pictures
I wasn't going to put her in lessons
but at the last minute I decided to
IF there was a class open during the time the others had lessons
and luck would have it that there was an opening
I was a little worried about it
(she is such a mommies girl
if she could be attached to my hip she would be happy!)
Well the first class she cried the ENTIRE time
but I didn't run to her 'rescue'
I talked to her teacher after the class
wondering if she was alright with Reagan crying
she said that she was okay with the crying if I was okay with it
so the second day she cried the first five minutes
then she was fine the rest of the time

I am so happy that we got her in lessons
when we go to the pool she is a little fish
she love diving for rings
she loves getting her face wet
and she loves trying to float on her back
we will defiantly get her in again next year!
